Global Associate, NOSTOS High Performance Basketball Ecosystem
Coach Umar Ibrahim Bala has joined the global network of the NOSTOS High Performance Basketball Ecosystem, bringing more than three decades of international coaching, player development, and sports ecosystem expertise. The appointment recognizes his contributions to grassroots development, talent pathways, sports systems design, and basketball innovation across Africa and internationally.
Umar joins NOSTOS bringing more than 35 years of international experience and a lifelong commitment to developing basketball across Africa and beyond. Throughout his career, he has worked with national teams, professional clubs, universities and youth development programs, building sustainable basketball structures and creating pathways from grassroots participation to high-performance environments.

The role is expected to strengthen NOSTOS’ presence across Africa and contribute to global basketball development, aligning with his ongoing work through All-In Sports & Entertainment Plc, Grassroots Leagues Nigeria, and the Career Pathway Management framework.
